Event Date(s) / Time: Wed, 19 May, 2010 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM Details: When “Country Willie” Edwards receives an invitation to record with The Legendary Stardust Cowboy from Mars (residing in San Jose), he and a handful of East Texas natives set out to fulfill their dreams. This hybrid narrative/documentary chronicles the westward journey of: Peter Guzzino, a high school valedictorian stuck in the seventies searching for his voice; Brian “Birdman” Birdwell, a cock-fighter hell bent on auditioning his roosters for a big time Hollywood feature; and Audrey Dean Leighton, an aging wizard and global twirler obsessed with learning the world wide web. The group soon learns that when you head west chasing a rainbow, you inevitably reach its bittersweet end

The deadline for the 2010 cycle is June 1st and if you are a filmmaker who has resided in Texas for at least one year, you are eligible to apply for up to $15,000 in funding for your project
